Pure Poppycock!

“The silver thread of resurrection runs through all the believer’s blessings, from his regeneration onward to his eternal glory, and ties them all together.” – C.H. Spurgeon

The liberal lie from the pit of hell goes like this…

“Jesus was a good man who lived a good life and was unjustly put to death.” The truth of the matter is that Jesus was – and is – the Holy Son of God, the Word become flesh, who lived a sinless (not good) life and then willingly laid down His life for the sins of the world.

Another Satanic slander is that Jesus didn’t really die on the cross, He merely lost consciousness. WRONG AGAIN! The Bible is VERY clear that Jesus declared, “It is finished!” after which He gave up His spirit and was pronounced dead by a Roman centurion (Mark 15:39; and John 19:30-35).

Finally, those seeking to disparage the Bible will falsely claim that Jesus remained in the tomb and never rose from the dead. PURE POPPYCOCK! The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ is one of the most thoroughly documented events in human history. In fact, He was seen by more than 500 eyewitnesses, many of whom backed their claim with their very lives (I Corinthians 15:3-8).

Yes, indeed, the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday is the single most important event in the history of the world. It proves that God the Father was satisfied with the sin payment IN FULL of God the Son. That is why Alfred Henry Ackley could pen the following words…

I serve a risen Savior, He’s in the world today
I know that He is living, whatever men may say
I see His hand of mercy, I hear His voice of cheer
And just the time I need Him, He’s always near

He lives, he lives, Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way.
He lives, he lives, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know he lives? He lives within my heart.

“He is not here; for He has risen, as He said.” Matthew 28:6 (NKJV)
