Grab a Broom

Last Saturday, Deanna and I moved approximately 150 yards away, from Lot 8 to Lot 125 in Midway Estates. The reasons for our move after two years at Lot 8 are that Lot 125 is bigger, drier, and has a large shed that was built to withstand 140 mph winds. In Florida, where hurricanes are an annual possibility, that storm shed was a major selling point.

Since our move, Deanna has been busy as a beaver beautifying our new location with potted plants, a new outdoor rug, various flags and lawn ornaments, and lots and lots of sweeping. She is intent on making our new site a real showplace… and she’s off to a great start!

However, as hard as she might try, Deanna is not capable of sweeping away her sins, my sins, or anyone else’s sins for that matter. Only God was able to do that… and He did! When Jesus died on the cross in my place and yours, He took upon Himself the sins of the whole world. Now, anyone who cries out in faith and repentance has their sins swept away for all eternity.

Can I get an Amen?

What a relief to know that my sins weren’t just swept under the carpet to be someday revealed, but they have been separated as far from me as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12).

Now can I get a Hallelujah, too?
